It Begins...

So I have started blogging. Why? Well, hopefully this way wbc members will be able to communicate with their pastor more often and more effectively. And people who are checking out wbc will be able to find out what they want/need to know. And people who are trying to check out this Jesus thing will have someone on the net they can chat with. We'll see how it goes.

Very nice...it's about time. Am I the first one to comment on your blog? Do I win the lifetime supply of Tupperware? ooooohhhh I hope so! I'm crossing my fingers.

The Tupperware offer was strictly "subject to availability." I'm afraid we're currently out. But you'll always have the pleasure of knowing you were the first one to post on my blog...and no one can ever take that away from you!

Just checking in. It's about time someone else has one too. We have ours for the Grandparents.

Great idea, Jeff. I don't need Tupperware, but would like two Lazyboy recliners for Judy and me for the new sanctuary. I think I read about something like this in "The Comfortable Pew," by Pierre Berton.

Hmmmm, tupperware v lazyboys. I'm hanging out with the comfortable set! I like the idea of a blog, Jeff, I think it is a great way to make your thoughts easier to get to outside of the Sunday message, and to spark on other topics that you just can't get to in 40 minutes on a Sunday morning. PLUS it forces old people like me to step up to the new cool things to do. You know, like being able to text as fast as my 15 year old!

C'mon Martha...I may preach long sermons, but forty minutes is pushing it (I hope).

And Bob, you might forward your request for the LazyBoys to the renovation committee...I'm just the preacher, you know. But thanks for prompting me to look up Pierre Berton on wikipedia. You are WAY too well-read.

Jeff--Well, I am trying this again. My original response is floating around in cyberspace. This is a great idea! Now I just have to learn how to blog. Some of us are slower learners than others.

This is great! I'm not much of a blogger...I'm with Martha on trying to stay hip! She is way better at it than I am. Sign me up for a lazyboy. One would have to cook in order to need tupperware. LOL

Welcome in, Kristy and Sherri! I'll try to make sure there's something new on here at least once or twice a week so you'll have a reason to visit.
